David A. Gropper, MD, FAAP
Dr. David Gropper joined Pediatric Associates of Western Connecticut in 1989 after completing his medical school at SUNY/Downstate in Brooklyn and a residency at Albert Einstein and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. His areas of special interest in pediatrics include allergic disease, Lyme disease, and mental health issues.
Professionally he is a long-standing member of the hospital’s Credentialing Committee and has been a teacher of Pediatric Advanced Life Support. He currently serves on the Contracting/Finance Committee for the Clinically Integrated Network of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Dr. Gropper is a lifelong runner and more recently has taken up cycling and kayaking. He enjoys target shooting, hiking, gardening, and nature photography. He is a committed conservationist and has been on numerous environmental boards. Dr. Gropper lives in Danbury with his fiancée Stacy, dog Jay, and Caique (parrot), Gertie the Birdie! His grown son Alex lives in the Upper West Side of Manhattan with his wife Heather.
